DO I NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN FITNESS LEVEL TO ATTEND SPLASH KAYAKING GROUP.....GUIDED TOURS 0R LESSONS?
I say to people if you can walk around the block you'll be fine. Kayaking is a simple activity that is undertaken at an easy, strain-free pace to enjoy the serenity and nature.
In fact, people who regularly enjoy and engage in walking, swimming, or bicycling are already in good shape for kayaking. We are an activity...not a sport.
HOW IS PAUL'S WAY OF TEACHING AND GUIDING DIFFERENT FROM OTHER INSTRUCTORS AND GUIDES?
Simply...my answer would be....I treat everyone as individuals and respect we all learn at different rates and have different fitness levels and technique.
Some learn through repetition, some learn through visual demonstration.
Your safety is always my paramount focus as is you having fun on the water, gaining confidence through practice and enjoying yourself.
HAS PAUL WORKED WITH ANY KIDS OR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?
Yes I often do kids clinics which are just as much fun for me throwing frisbees, sponges, balls and using other teaching aides.
I have also taught and guided adults and kids with different forms of Autism, had numerous blind clients who do wonderfully using 'sounds of the paddle splash' as their reference points and had numerous clients who are suffering paraplegia in different forms.
If you have the desire, I have the passion to teach and guide you.
